even though some of us were still clapping wrongly going sharp and whatever, at LEAST today there was a choir-y mood when we sang (like angels haha) er. yah so i guess everyone (or most people) did everything with enthusiasum? or not just doing for the sake of doing lah. and we were listening and enjoying as a CHOIR. snchoir.

oh THANK GOD we didnt turn out bad today when mslim came.
i mean, la cucaracha was like a mess down there; the claps, the timing for the jerking thing, timing, pitch and godknowswhat.
then jap song went up up up and so did that high 'a' note?! which was so horrible. when we were practicing. at least it was fine when we went to the hall i mean it was even sharper but somehow we managed to hit the note yeah? : D

er. just a bit disappointed (? er maybe shock or whatever i cant find the word) but there's no extra choir practice 2mr even though some of us were like saying YES when ms lim asked if we wanted her to come down 2mr she laughed and said she doesnt want to and that practically ended the matter. i mean, i dont know, its at the hall today, maybe its the place, maybe its the stress of seeing band dance doing so well, or maybe ms lim was in an extra good mood or something. but i dont think our performance today was for real. i mean, compared to whatever we did at the chopin room, whatever we sang for ms lim was like a big difference or something? or maybe im just paranoid.

i guess, just want to say that even though ms lim's (considerably) happy today, we cant be just thinking 'oh yay she's not angry with us anymore so we can finally breathe again' or something, we shouldnt just go "splat" and forget everything on thursday. i mean, thats really (somewhat) typical of us, but er. we really shouldnt just slack off cause she's not angry anymore. then if we want to keep improving, then ms lim will be angry with us forever just to make us improve? i mean, doesnt that sound ridiculous? it is ridiculous anyway.

ok anyway. i just want to make you see the point that we should not "rest on our laurels" or something. we should continue to improve anyway yeah?

oral wasnt that bad i guess; but it wasnt that fantastic either. jcs and polytechnics; cip; what can i say? well the passage was darn long for one thing. and.. i guess he made the atmosphere lighter and yah he's not bad in a sense he lets you analyze your weakness and your strengths and then tell you what he thinks of your performance. he says that i dare to speak but i have trouble expressing myself.
well, if it was english oral, i probably would have passed with flying colours. ok maybe not flying colours but i'll at least have confidence of not passing with average marks yeah?
oh one question. is being prompted good?

i dont know lah. how some people can dont listen dont concentrate still play around and whatever at such a crucial last practice before a concert. yah i mean, i dont need to say a lot right. honestly. some people think that whatever ms lim says is a joke. the problem is, what if it isnt a joke? are you willing to risk it? if you are, get lost man. fk off.
one thing; NEVER NEVER NEVER take ms lim for granted. and i mean it. what if she left us already? this yr her two-year contract expires. there's a chance that she is unable or she does not want to take us anymore. so i'll say it again. NEVER take ms lim for granted.
thank god she's not that angry at us today. and that there's a glimmer of hope in her for us. we must not make ms lim disappointed again alright?

then we went to j8! took neos : D then walked around minitoons and some other shop for my belated bday pres -grins- hahas finally we bought this tigger soft toy : D yay ann jie's da best! -hugs- aiyah din know that taking neoprints takes such a long time hahas. but it was fun! -grins-
we must go out again alright ann? today was really really short. less than two hours? choir ended late (which actually isnt a bad thing, cause choir ending late is better than choir ending early with ms lim leaving in a huff, yeah?) but wrong timing lah x) anyway. yah we must go out again together kays! i dont understand. you are : sop one sec ones. can you sing high notes? yes. then why dont you do so? i just DO NOT GET what your problem is. and its not just one of you, its ALL of you. i mean what is your problem, bargaining with us not to sing the high notes? do you know how privileged you people are in sop one? i mean, you all get to sing the melody of the music which is usually (considerably) easier to learn especially when you memorise. ms lim thinks that you all have the ability to reach for those high notes, thus she puts you in sop one and you take it for granted? gosh. i think you all do NOT deserve to be in choir if you continue doing this. godd. i really REALLY dont know what to do with you people. i know you people think that its darn bad of us to call you early for practice compared to the rest of the choir. but you think its very fun for us too? we're HELPING you for god's sake. and please, WE initiate such things only when we are afraid that you all cannot cope. so at least when you all come early, at least put effort in your singing can? but you dont. all anyhow sing, anyhow do, play around. and in the end? you all hardly know the jap song still. dont crap lah. i am ABSOLUTELY positive you all can barely memorise. if you can, thats just because you're a sop 1 and when we sang for syf, you all managed to catch the melody. thats all. i do not believe that you people put in any effort.

so me and jiaming were doing warmups. we went to a high high C# can? and higher still. never mind. and you all were opening your mouths and singing! wow, why couldnt you do so earlier. so, we sniggered below and decided to make you all sing level by level. you still omitted the notes! and you dont even care. you all screwed yourselves up. and embarrased yourselves. but i dont think you care. the altos MADE IT cause they TRIED. not like you people who omit notes on purpose. i am getting damn fed up with you all. sorry to say, outside choir you may be fun to be with but in choir... you are not playing a part. i am not very impressed with whatever crap you all gave us.

wth wth wth. how you people can be NOT excited for your FIRST concert with the rest of the CHOIR i cannot understand. astound me if you must. but i still stick to my point, being in choir is your PRIDE and oh please do not be mistakened that you have a RIGHT to be in the choir. for your information to you dear sec ones out there you DO NOT. what a unpatriotic bunch of sec ones you are huh. so un-choir-ish. dont you want to belong to the choir? dont you enjoy choir? i dont understand WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE.

i just dont get it. i mean; jubilate is a SCHOOL concert. it is still something we should all strive to do our best. even though its not like whatever we had last year with nanyang. but its STILL a concert. and we're presenting a GOLD choir to them.

cant you all just put in effort into the pieces? i mean; EVERYONE. no matter what level you're in. so what if you're a sec one? the performance concerns EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE CHOIR and if you're think you are NOT SIGNIFICANT or you CANNOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE i think you should jolly well quit choir and forget about coming back.

im sorry to say; but sop ones arh. i dont want to pinpoint but can some of you people just be serious? do it PROPERLY when we tell you to cause its really crucial; the concert's next week? whatever you're doing; do it properly. everything you do; do it wholeheartedly. just doing things wholeheartedly and properly makes a very big difference.
sec fours we know that its your last concert but if SOME of you sec fours dont even give a damn about the concert even after being in choir for four years, i really have nothing to say. yah i know school work is stressful and stuff but since you're already here in the choir room why cant you just make an effort to do your best? [really i know most of you sec fours are doing your best but im referring to the SOME yeah?]
sec ones ok this is your first time singing with the whole choir and performing with us. i mean arent you sec ones just simply EXCITED to do you best for your first performance? sorry to say, i think you all arent. sop1secones your attitude is absolutely so bad. no offence; but can you put in more EFFORT? you dont know your notes, you ASK. you dont know your steps, you ASK. you know you notes and your steps but tend to forget you PRACTICE AT HOME. right! take initiative! i hate it when we ask you whether you know how to do it and you say yes yet in the end you DONT know how to do it. ask you to come eariler for extra practice to learn songs that you dont know yet, you all just simply dont come early or dont care; those that come dont even listen to whatever we say. damn, if you dont give a damn about the concert why dont you all say so? we can tell ms lim and yah you're out simple as that.
snchoir we've gone through a lot but i think we should NOT rest on whatever we've done cause we should strive to be better. all the time, we always manage to pull through but this time i am SCARED. there's very little progress and there is no togetherness in the choir. you all are lacking everything we had during syf. i dont know. you people should really SNAP OUT of your HECK CARE attitude and jolly well make amends in this last week before the concert. embarrassing ourselves on stage is NOT on my to-do list in choir.

again, like from italy trip, i am really really thankful that singapore roads are SAFE. and they are safe for jaywalking; its really really alright. haha its wrong; but in a way, in china they have zebra crossings, but the cars dont stop; its just jaywalking. and its scary.

singapore toilets have DOORS thank god. and they have good flushes. not like those in the toilet i need to flush more than 4 times to flush down some tissue. i must have wasted a lot of water.

this time its a TRUE BLUE exchange program; not like the one-two hour exchange we had in italy. i think we should be thankful that we dont need to like clean the school like that cause after they clean, the whole school stinks of urine cause the tap's in the toilet and the toilet isnt a very nice state. esp if they dont clean the mop properly after washing the toilets.... and wipe it all over the school floor... uh you know what happens. so im really amazed that the school makes its students do that. i mean; its really amazing... i'll never do that i think. its not a once-a-term matter or a once-a-year matter its an E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y matter so yeah; its pretty amazing.

i guess its just that i feel that we shouldn't take everything for granted lahs. i mean, its a different outside; and its pretty amazing to learn that a lot of china students are trying to come to singapore. why? they say its less stressful here. and its a open door to other overseas universities like cambridge, oxford and other famous universities. its only through singapore then they can have a chance to do so.

sad to say, i think they have more hw than us lah.

they have NICE SCHOOL UNIFORM! at least, the jacket. YOU KNOW THE GIRL'S WHOSE HOUSE WE LIVED IN THOUGHT THAT OUR SCHOOL UNIFORM looked like those uniform that MAIDS WEAR. wth. actually, a bit lah if you think about it. WHOOPPPPPPPPSY!.

day three

i learnt that. harbin is fantastic. i mean.
the CAR HORNS. they really can make a song lah. its rhythmic. and never ending. they even form chords wth. they woke me up btw.
school school school.
the school's like amazing? i mean the students. they can squish into a relatively small classroom and yet contain 70 pupils? and its really squashed. just to let someone out, we have to either turn sideways or move out. and the learning attitude of some pupils are really fantastic. very voluntary and they question the teachers a lot. during break time, they really get down on all four to clean the school up. not the class but the school. toilets included. using mops, scrubbing the floor with a cloth. its really fantastic. and the state of their toilets. its just a canal with two partitions. no doors and im not joking. and from the moment i found out, i made it a point NOT to use the toilet (:
school school school.
the classes are quite alright. english; weird but not bad i guess. chinese - totally wang jian style; but much nicer as the people here respond, and there's a lot to learn. maths - inequalities; expect that its in chinese. its a fight not to fall asleep, i swear. zhong he ke - dont know what it is; its just quite rubbishy and from what i observe, no one listens (: geog - i missed ALL the GEOG lessons can you believe it???!!! history - all missed all of them. art - again... missed them. music - quite fun (: i guess. assembly thingy - some forum period. not bad; quite fun if you are really into it. they made us sing though hurrs.

of course; not all of this happened in one day; its all over but i just compiled it into one.
lunch was rather ... errs. didnt like it.
after school we went to.. this place which smelt of mushrooms. then somewhere else which stank so much we wanted to vomit. can you believe it; log had a blocked nose. and when we finally got out, her nose miraculously unblocked.

then we went shopping! bought bsb cd; 3 furrys! ; du zhe (im nice) ; stickers!
and shared foodstuff between log celine dev and sharon

day FOUR

no school! at least; we went to some children's day ceremony.
to so-called certify that the sec ones are teens from now and have no-more-children-day
then the army performed stuff.
we couldnt take photos; rubbish!
there were pretty dandelions! :( and i couldnt take photos.
all your fault. hurrs. anyway we played with them until they called us.
they treated us to watermelon and this bottle of water which was called 'wahaha' XD
so funny; that's the brand?! x) i brought it back the singapore anyway hahas.
then lunch was fantastic?
crabs, seathingys, turtle, scallops, cherries grapes, pistacho nuts cashew nuts, mee, eel (love it!), and so much more! its like just simply fantastic the way they treat us.

we were singing on the bus on the way there.

school again. had trouble keeping awake in maths and chinese.
anyway me and dev went to this sec four's house to live!
first we went to her mom's english learning center. used the com; wanted to blog BUT COULDNT! blogger failed on me :( while dev was happy blogging away. hmph.
but i talked to this pri 1 girl. she's so cute! her english is not bad. she was being prompted by her dad to talk to me but she didnt want to so i initiated a conversation with her. she's nice(:
after that when her mom came, we went to have dinner first. russian restaurant lah! we were like so shocked; they treated us so nicely. mind you; they chose the food for us and it wasnt cheap.
then we went shopping and her mom tagged along. and went to her house
her house is SO NICE! we thought it was a hotel.
her toilet rocks lah. so MODERNISED. its even nicer than the one in my house.

day SIX

breakfast. not bad lah. milk and food (: harbin sausages!

we had free period! haha. cause they went for rehearsal for the song they were singing. so we were left in class with 3 other girls. i am SMART! -thumbs up- i took this chance to go the the toilet in my own PRIVACY. haha. of course; someone was guarding the door for me (:

then we went shopping with the girl! she asked for leave from lessons to bring us shopping lah! omg bought so much stuff in one hour.
then she had extra lessons so we went shopping with her mother. hahas.
HURRS HER MOM'S CAR TORE MY NEW JEANS I FEEL CHEATED. :(
anyway she treated us to macs icecream then shopping began again. there was a russian shop and other stuff lah. (: more CDS (i know) and a pair of scissors, and the PENGUIN CLOCK for banana hahas.
anyway we shopped till 9pm. i've never shopped for SO LONG a stretch! my legs were hurting when we were done lahs.
then we went to eat huo3 guo1. and we talked till 11pm
then we went back to her house.
i loved her house; i sneaked my camera into her toilet to take pictures. darn nice lah.
after that i took a photo with her! dev too (:
we talked till 1 am can you believe it? her mom was calling us to sleep lahs haha.
never mind. her mom turn off the lights; we on them and took photos! darnit i was nearly caught lah! in the end i quickly threw my camera under the covers. phew. after that we started taking photos of her room. like tourists(: SO MANY STUFFED TOYS! i want them (:

day SEVEN

we were so sad to leave her house:( and the school too :(
dev managed to take more photos of the upstairs of the house
but downstairs was impossible; her dad was always there.
then we sadly said goodbye to her house and her dad.
and her uncle fetch us to school as usual. (u-wual as they pronouce it)
basically very sad day lah. my buddy got scolded for being late and she cried.

day EIGHT

tai yang dao! damn nice.
I SAW THE GIRL FROM THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE CENTRE! at least; her dad saw me. then i took photos with the girl(:

then went to see the bing1 deng1 which was very nice
