many things have happened.but i shall start on TODAY first.
Today, sermon was delivered by a very good speaker (who according to wy, had very effective pauses)
It was about travelling with God.
What hit me very much was how correct it is;
1. When people say that they are busy, they're trying to tell you don't bother them.
2. Singaporeans give money; but they do not give their time to others.
3. I think this is very prevalent in Singapore; we like to have our own space. And dislike people to intrude in it.
-----
What are we giving up to God, today? What in our daily lives are we doing something for His ministry?
I thought of many things, esp the story about how a medicine professor invited his students to his place for dinner once a month; and after dinner he would share about the bible.
Years down the road, where there was a class gathering, half of these medicine students became pastors, missionaries, instead of practising medicine. Just because the teacher and his wife were willing to open up their private space and invite others; and to give their time to others.
I think this is very inspiring. And if I were to have a business next time, I would want to think of doing something like that.
And.. My music aspect. ah.. once i straighten out sib on my com..
-----
the walk with Him!
cause i've been blessed, with many things and in many ways.
I just had an op; it was an experience, i must say. and i feel okay now, except for the itch. I know it's God's healing hands on me, so that i'm having such a speedy recovery.
And results; it was really.. something to be thankful for. I can't ask for any better.
(:

falala!
what a jammed-packed post exams.
i'm not saying that they have been very eventful, just that, i've managed to been going out every single day, since i came back.
WHICH, is rare, haha.
5thmay
end of marketing.
which was crap; just thinking about it makes me KNOW i am so going to do so badly.
went out with ann, after packing for home and taking a lift from dear aprilia. we went walking over far east, ion, ate about two kinds of dessert and dinner, then went to somerset 313 for more dessert.
THEN, met the guys at marina square for movie, ironman II, which wasn't all that bad but i felt ironman I was better.. in terms of storyline and twists, you know? like this new one was just talking about some cocky shit and how many guys like to have their extrinsic ego side. haha. got the entire row of 8 of us to wait till the end of credits to catch the.. extra snippet. caught the last 56 home and reached home at about 1240am, chatted and bedded at 1plus. aha.
6thmay
spent the morning lazing around and reading, then went back to hall to pack all my things home aft lunch and then gave dear a surprise at his place. then rushed down to holland v to meet dears qingy sy manda rina and jasmine. chatted, caught up, had dinner and sat on qingy's car to town! which was quite funny, seeing that we didnt really know the way there. anyway, we finally got there, wasnt feeling too well so got dear to send me back, which dear so kindly came without any grumbles, ha.
7thmay
lazed around again, alone at home, slept and continued reading "Change of Heart" by Jodi Picoult, did a mask (like since ages i did the last one!) then rushed down to hall to turn in my key, then partied in dy's room for the night. which wasnt much of a party actually, just drinks and mahjong, with alan and youjin playing bomberman at the com.
8thmay
an entire day of work, teaching.. missed the great ANDREA BOCELLI CONCERT, but went out with dear for dinner after work, which is something that we hardly have nowadays, so i do cherish the moments..
glad that aunt and my family enjoyed the thing immensely.. ty to alan and his dad for the tickets!
9thmay
mothers' day!
went to church, came back, and dear studied for midterms (a bit), i read my book and finished it finally. aha.
didnt manage to celebrate w mom, cause daddy lost his voice and was sick ):
celebrated mothers' day with aunty and uncle with dinner at xin cuisine, which was really wonderful.
hopefully after dear's summer term, we can do sth for both our parents.. for the entire uni year's completion.. and all the support. aha.
10thmay
started on "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult, and no, i did not watch the movie.
read the morning, then went out to teach dear cousins math in pasir ris for the entire afternoon, then taught my dear MSANDREAYAP in yishun for the evening.
caught up w tjames, which i miss much, since we've stopped lessons last year.
just chatted awhile, cause he's real busy marking nafa stuff this week.. and for the first time since exams ended, i got home at 10plus.
11thmay
after refusing to do charity, i've had the day to myself! which didnt start out good because i dreamt that i studied for two papers wrongly, like mixed up the dates, didnt figure out whether it was open or close book and things like that.. and marketing came back to haunt me. which i really think i did very very very very badly for. sigh.
so. sat at home the entire morning and just devoured more of the book. met dear for high tea! at lao beijing, which was not too bad a deal but i was really full after that.
saw a REALLY NICE DRESS AT ESPRIT!!! which was one size small.
so on our way to run an errand for mom, we detoured to esprit at somerset 313 to check it out again, which was bad cause i couldnt find it in brown, which was really gorgeous. so in return for my detour, dear and i detoured to HMV to check out the cds..
got my fan yi chen cd, which was lost due to the HP repairs (they lost it) and bought like $70 worth of cds (while dear spent $120). haha.
anyway, so back on our track to help mom see her sale goods at robinsons. dear was ! at the icecream maker.. which cost a whooping $618. like, whoa! haha after which we went back to dear's place, and dear sent me back home at about 11plus.
after which, i finished the entire book; two books down!
12thmay
TODAY. i really see the "singaporean" singaporean, wah, waiting with my mom outside robinsons at 1010am so she can lay hands on her desired pot and breadmaking machine. you see people just queuing outside robinsons and like cramming at the shutters at 10minutes to 1030. haha. absolutely hilarious, i was just -.- that i was doing it with her. haha. but nevertheless, it was amusing.
bought a nice dress too (: just that i really HATE, how packed the place got. just like how people didnt need to work -.- as if everyone takes leave just to catch such a SALE.
anyway, my mom noted that the icecream maker was on 15% discount.. aha.
after buying the breadmaker and paying for the dress, we picked nat, drove to bedok to get her braces done then i offered to (or rather, insisted on) driving us back home. haha. i need to get a better idea of the positioning of the car; mom said that i was so close to the left, her leg had cramps cause she was leaning to the right and desperately trying to step on the non-existent brake.
got home, started on a new book, "Picture Perfect" once again by Jodi Picoult, which was cut by a very distressed and emo dear. went down to smu to find him with some dinner, then went pubbing w ryan at about 11plus. had a strawberry margarita which was not too bad, and had chicken wings, which were quite fabulous :X haha. and fries.. and heard dear through his frustrations.
cabbed home at 1plus and got home at 120; darn to think the only night out this late, braddell road was closed.
read a bit more, and went to bed.
13thmay
today was supposed to be my stay home day.
i spent the entire morning and early afternoon finishing up "Picture Perfect", then unpacked some hall stuff. i STILL cannot find my stars and the diary, how frustrating!!!
then aha the bomb strikes. to cut the story short, i prepared and left home within half an hour and we got the ice cream maker.
dear tried it out with some juice after dinner, and we settled his interview with his technical entrepreneur. which was a great relief.
went home after celebrating a little past 11pm, cause dear still had his readings and prep for interview.
14thmay
so we're finally down to today!
for the first time, woke up at 10:08am, past 8am and all.
had a quick breakfast, then left home to meet ann at 1115 or so.
went to hougang and had a haircut. and lunch.
was an experience.. but an expensive one, i must say.
but i must say... i still think my hair doesnt look all that bad with a bit of a curl, haha. we'll see. x)
walked around.. and finally settled at.. xin wang for some.. soup and a gigantic mango ice.
i must say.
I HAVE NEVER EATEN SOMETHING UNTIL I SHIVERED, like REALLY SHIVERED consistently.
and i am not joking.
goodness ann.. if we were to eat this again.. please get more people!!!!!!! haha.
but we must meet more often! (:
----
and till now, this is post exams.
we have some great crazy idea to try out as dessert,
and meanwhile, mom has just made her first loaf of bread with the breadmaking machine.
many people i want to meet, and get out with, do something outside and apart from school, the place which brought us together.
i am tired, and looking forward to a chat with dear,
though he is very stressed with many things, i believe.
i cant wait for his summer term to end;
to have the chance to plan our getaway.
out of singapore, yoz!

i was talking to mummy last night.
it's a relief to let everything out.
for the slogging till 3/4am for the entire semester.
i was wondering why things turned that way.
chocs. prod. exams.
plus projects, submissions, reports, presentations.
work.
i must say, i had fun when they happened.
but still, i do feel tired.
and despite enjoying, i still crave for my own time.
and today, i am devoting my time to the thing that many of us undergo though we would not like to; exams, just that today, they're not mine.
-----
i told myself, today will be the day where i plan and explore the things that i want to do.
i'll plan.
-----
as usual, when i talk about how i lack time and everything,
you come into the picture.
so today i decided to shut you out, just for a moment.
i still think, i have a right to feel the way i am.
but still, i know, it must be so hard on you..
i can never think about all this. ):

it's the end of exams.
met ann and had a wonderful afternoon of shopping eating and talking, classmates for ironman2, dear at his place and qingy siewying and all of them for dinner.
it's been a long time since i've spent time with everyone.
and tonight, it's hitting back to hall.
-----
somehow though exams have ended,
i'm not.. exhilarated or anything.
maybe cause the end of exams doesn't mean the start to doing whatever i want.
maybe cause it doesnt signify the beginning of fun and to do anything without a care.
maybe cause, i'm still tied down to many things, and even after this ends, i won't have a chance to enjoy this again.
and perhaps, it's stopping me from doing EVERYTHING that i want to do.
you know, the feeling that ONE THING, can be the center of all your considerations. that is preventing you from doing others.
that, is what i mean.
and perhaps,
i'm just really tired.
of trying and putting effort into something..
that doesnt translate into results.
why continue when everyone thinks it's a burden?
i know sometimes it's just me, of how i think.
but otherwise, how should i be thinking?
coupled with the fact that it is constricting me in everything.
be it studies or even fun.
i'm sorry, i know things can be better if i was more flexible.
but i'm not. or maybe i wish not to be. or i'm just stubborn.
actually, it's not.
i just really want a getaway.
i need a break.
i need some time to myself.
i need some time to myself and my dear.
i need some time to my friends and family.
...
i'm just trying to say, i want to be able to put down everything, and just for once, think of myself.
-----
i just need some time to reconfigure my life.
to think things through.
mr wychua,
when i think of you, i just can't help but stop thinking.
what am i complaining about, beside you?
doing summer term on top of everything.
and keeping that perfect score.
and what am I doing? just moping around.
-----
i'll think things through.
